Harvest Halloween Sponsor Spotlight and Interview-HealthyTreat (sweet mother nature

If you missed it a month ago I bought and reviewed the Banana Sesame Fruit Leather from HealthyTreat's etsy shop (shop is also known as sweet mother nature). It was such a yummy treat that I just had to ask them if they would contribute to the Harvest Halloween Hop. Shop owners Matt and Sheri have generously agreed to let the winner of the healthy alternatives prize package pick any item from their shop. Their products are super healthy. They have no preservatives and are just lightly sweetened with honey. I swear everytime I look in their shop they have created something new and yummy! Their prizes are also the best. Not only is their fruit leather the best priced on Etsy they do not charge shipping. They have a passion for what they do and it shows! So if you want the chance to win one their yummy products come back Friday the 14-24 where you will get the chance to win. Make a purchase in their shop between now and the end of the giveaway and you'll get a bonus 10 entries! So go now and check out their shop

What is your favorite thing to do in Autumn?
Hiking is our FAVORITE thing to do in the Autumn. We live in the Finger Lakes area of New York State with a lot of hiking trails, waterfalls, gorges and numerous state parks where we can get an up close look at the beautiful Fall foliage.

What is your favorite item in your shop?
My favorite item in the shop are the strawberries, either the slices or strawberry fruit leather, Matt loves the Cinnamon Honey apples and we both like the Pineapple leather, geeez and the pineapple slices are like candy oh and the raspberry coconut fruit leather, if you like coconut you have to try this stuff! I am pretty much partial to everything and the Mango Lime Coconut fruit leather, there is nothing like it on this planet , mmmmmmm. Ok, I'll stop.

Have you had any flavors/ ideas that just didn't work out?
We have just over one year in the business and we still make mistakes, we've had our share of mishaps, pineapple leather cracking is one of them, but the good thing is most of our mistakes are edible and the kids love it!

Any tips for someone looking to start their own etsy shop?
I would just say persevere, Keep posting, continue to do whatever it is you do, don't ever give up...

What are your future plans for you shop?
hhhmmmm just keep creating and keep it honest, no additives, no preservatives, just fruit, offering the best product for the best price.
