Book Review: Skip School, Fly to Space by Stephan Pastis

Ok so you may not know this but the Sunday comics are one of my favorite things. From the classics to the new stuff I love it all. In fact my son is named after one of the most beloved comic strips of all time. He is named Calvin after Calvin and Hobbes. So I was excited to request this book of Pearls Before Swine comic strips from *Netgalley. I've only had the chance to read Pearls before Swine a few times as I no longer get the Sunday paper.


This book was so hilarious. I'm still in a debate if the Crocs or if Pig are my favorite. This is perfect ahem...bathroom reading material. I did not read this to my son as I think it is still a bit too above his head. But I know that in another year or so he would probably enjoy it even if he doesn't end up understanding the humor.

I identified with Pig while Rat kinda reminds me of my hubby. Though my hubby is not mean to me he can be with other people LOL. Oh and the Crocs with their silly way of talking just make me smile no matter what.

If you are looking to pick up your day and find something that will at least make you smile if not laugh out loud then check out this book.

I'm giving it 5 out of 5 stars.
