Book Review: Dino-Swimming by Lisa Wheeler

Last weekend we went to see Jurassic World. So when I saw this on *Netgalley I knew it was perfect to read to my son since he is still riding on a dinosaur high... ok so maybe just maybe I'm the one on a dinosaur high.

Dino-Swimming is a cute rhyming book that tells the tale of the land sharks vs the algae eaters dinosaurs. They participate in many different swimming events to see who will be winner.

The drawings in this were wonderful. Nice and colorful with the dinosaurs not looking overly scary making it appropriate for the youngest of readers.  I love that they gave the names of the different types of dinosaurs. I admit I became hung up on one and had to play the sound it out game. My son was pleased that the dinosaurs were all different colors (especially blue...his favorite color).

From what I can tell it looks like this is a series of books. I will definitely have to check out the rest in the series because my son was extremely interested in reading more of them. It looks like the next book has them racing in cars...or at least that was what was suggested by the ending of the book.

My son really liked the book and I enjoyed it too. I would have to say that this was another 5 star book for the two of us.

*I received a free copy of this ebook from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion
**This book was read with my special needs son who is severely learning disabled. The review reflects not only my opinion but his as well
