Book Review: A Day of What Ifs by Lauren Micchelli

In my quest to expose my son to more and more books I recently requested a whole slew of books from *Netgalley. This was one of the books that kind of just blindly hit the request button as it was a read now one.

The book is filled with scenarios of crazy things like what if the sky was green and the grass was blue. Each picture illustrates the what if that is being asked. The book asks that children open up their imaginations and ask "what if".

I went into this book with no expectations because as I mentioned before I had no clue what it was about. Filled with fun simple rhymes I was pleasantly surprised.  This is a short book and good for children with short attention spans. The illustrations are colorful but some are a bit cheesy. That being said both my son and I loved the illustration depicted the green sky and blue grass. The blue grass was pretty cool.

My son enjoyed the book and because it wasn't overly long or wordy it was perfect for him. He did hesitate when I asked him how many stars he thought it was.

We are going to go with 4 out of 5 stars one this.

*I received a free copy of this ebook from Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion
**This book was read with my special needs son who is severely learning disabled. The review reflects not only my opinion but his as well
