I Love My Pet Elephant is the tale of a little girl and her pet elephant. However her elephant is so much more than just a pet. Her elephant is obviously her best friend. All of this is told with simple rhymes.
This is the second book by Lauren Michelli that I have read to my son. With the last book I went in with no expectations this one I went into it knowing the authors style. I was not disappointed. Just like with the last book I read she uses simple rhyming style and mixes a bit of the silly in with her tales. I enjoyed the illustrations in this one a bit more than I did the last one.
My son enjoyed this one just as much as the last one. Because of its quick pace he had no problems keeping up with what was happening in the book
